Mr. Ashfaq Tola is a highly accomplished and dedicated professional with a track record of exceptional performance in the field of finance and accounting. He is serving as the President of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan (ICAP), a prestigious professional organization that represents over 9,000 Chartered Accountants in Pakistan.
He currently serves as the Chairman of the Reform and Resource Mobilization Commission in Pakistan. He has an extensive background in finance, economics, and governance, with over 25 years of experience in the industry.
Mr. Tola holds an impressive academic record, having earned a degree in Commerce from the University of Punjab and a Master’s in Business Administration from the Institute of Business Administration (IBA), Karachi. He is also a Fellow Member of the ICAP and has completed the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) program from the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).
Throughout his career, Mr. Tola has demonstrated a strong work ethic and a deep commitment to serving his country. He has held various senior positions in the public and private sectors, including serving as the CFO of the Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) and as a Senior Partner at Deloitte Pakistan.
As President of the ICAP, Mr. Tola has been instrumental in promoting the interests of Chartered Accountants in Pakistan and enhancing the reputation of the profession. Under his leadership, the ICAP has taken a number of initiatives to improve the quality of accounting and financial reporting in Pakistan and to enhance the professional development of its members.
